Making a ring from a grape

It started as a demonstration. Stacey wanted to show how you find a shape — not how to copy one, but where a shape comes from in the first place. Her answer was to pick something real, look at it properly, and let imagination do the rest.

So she bought a bunch of grapes from the shop around the corner.

No two are the same. The wax runs differently every time, which is the point rather than a problem.

"There are no rules," Stacey says, "and there's no doing it wrong."

From there it can become anything — a ring, an earring, a pendant.

One instruction only: don't eat the grape.
